BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Mohammad Rezaie was born in 1983 at the Saqez city, Kurdistan province, Iran. Dr. Rezaei received the MSc degree in mining engineering (exploitation branch) from Tarbiat Modares University in 2008. Then, he received the PhD degree in rock mechanics branch, from University of Tehran in 2014. At present, he is a faculty member in the department of mining engineering, faculty of engineering, University of Kurdistan, Sanandaj, Iran. His research interests are design of underground excavations, design of open-pit and underground blasting, characterization of physical and mechanical properties of rock and intelligent algorithms. He has been involved in mining engineering, rock mechanics, tunneling and geotechnical research for more than 15 years. He is the author and co-author of more than 40 scientific papers and he is the reviewer of several internal and international journals. He has gained considerable experiences during the courses teaching, investigating and practical working in various mining and tunneling projects in order to solve their possible critical problems. Moreover, he has consulted widely and has given geotechnical advice on a series of mining and rock mechanics projects in Iran.
